Meditation changes lives for the better and it has the power to change yours too! There are many different styles of meditation so it is important to find a technique that works for you. From our many years of experience, we believe the mantra method, combined with yogic breathing practices the most simple and effective, working well for beginners especially and anyone that has a true desire to practice.  Ability to sit in the lotus position is NOT necessary! Meditation can be practiced anywhere, from your favorite chair, sitting up in bed, in your car, on a train or even park bench.

I recommend private tuition for indivuals completely new to meditation wishing to start a regular routine or couples, friends and families that want to learn together and share the cost. In a typical session we will discuss, why, where, when and how to meditate. You will be guided through a meditation using Pranayama (deep breathing techniques) and a sacred Mantra, and given an audio of the guided meditation to be able to listen at home, in case you need reminding of the tools. We offer ongoing advice and support for cultivating your home practice.

 

For true success in meditating daily, it really is necessary to follow up with more sessions as you progress, or attend ongoing group meditations. We hold group Meditations by donation from time to time, and these are a powerful way to deepen your meditation experience and build on your meditation tools and skills. Each time we gather together, along with the guided meditation, there is connection, support and laughter. Often there is a topic/theme shared surrounding yogic philosophy, as well as the guided meditation to slow the mind and soothe the nervous system. These sessions help to bring us into stillness, releasing stress and promoting a peaceful environment for your body and mind to heal. All sessions end with herbal tea and homemade treat.

This educational and transformative Chakra Meditation Series allows you to delve deep into each of these powerful energy centers, over a course of 6 weeks.

 

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that translates as "wheel" and is the name used for the 7 main energy centres of the body. We all have these wheel-like energy spots through our central column, and we can learn simple ways to tap in and purify these special parts of our energy body leaving us feeling alive, cleansed and balanced. Simultaneously, associated physical aches and pains and health issues in the body may also be reduced.

 

Each week we will learn about and focus our practices on each Chakra, using a blissful combination of gentle yogic movement, pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, sound and mantra to understand, unblock and activate the powerful qualities of each one.

 

The sessions are suitable for all levels, some meditation experience may be beneficial. Yoga and Meditation props are provided, you may BYO your own if you prefer. Each session is approx 75mins, beginning with welcome acoustic guitar and deep breathing practices, teachings on Chakra's, then ending with a guided meditation and herbal tea.

 

For best results we recommend you commit to the 6 week block,

however casual drop-ins are also welcome.
